(Portland, OR) – The Oregon Association of Broadcasters (“OAB”) is pleased to announce its new President & Executive Director, Bob Singer. Singer will lead the organization in 2020 and beyond replacing John Tamerlano who will be retiring at the end of the year.

Bob Singer has served on the OAB board for the past seven years and was OAB Chairman in 2017. Bob has been integral in assisting the OAB redefine its role and the services the OAB provides TV and radio broadcasters across the state of Oregon.

For the past 25 years Bob has worked in local television stations in Portland and in Bend. He leaves New Press & Oregon Gazette after eight years as General Manager for KTVZ-KFXO TV in Bend. Bob has successfully managed and led his stations and teams to great success and has had a positive impact on the Bend Community during his tenue at KTVZ-KFXO TV.

“We are extremely lucky to have Bob take the helm of the OAB at this time” states current Chairwoman Bumstead. “He has been able to help the OAB navigate and adapt to the shifting climate facing not only TV and radio broadcasters but also the state association that serves our industry. I can’t think of a better leader to lead our Organization and our member Broadcast Stations going forward”.

The Oregon Association of Broadcasters was founded on December 14, 1940 and is the eighth oldest Broadcast Association in America. The current OAB membership consists of approx. local 120 Radio and TV broadcaster Stations across the state of Oregon.
