New OAB President / Executive Director

The Oregon Association of Broadcasters (“OAB”) is pleased to announce its new President & Executive Director, Bob Singer. Singer will lead the organization in 2020 and beyond replacing John Tamerlano who will be retiring at the end of the year.

Bob Singer has served on the OAB board for the past seven years and was OAB Chairman in 2017. Bob has been integral in assisting the OAB redefine its role and the services the OAB provides TV and radio broadcasters across the state of Oregon.

FCC Order Addresses TV White Spaces
On March 20, the FCC released an order addressing important rule changes for TV White Spaces devices. The order requires TV white space devices to incorporate an automatic geolocation capability to ensure that the TV white spaces database has accurate location information for all devices.
