Job Summary

Broadcast media company is searching for an Accounting Manager to be responsible for managing the financial activities of TV stations. Candidate will work with the corporate accounting department maintaining the expense and revenue performance of business units which includes closing the books monthly, quarterly and yearly. Some specific duties would include generating revenue journal entries, calculating local and national commissions, maintaining prepaid expenses and accruals, reclassing entries, balancing GL accounts, budgeting, filing property taxes, auditor requests and other financial duties and projects as needed. Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance with experience in accounting is required. Candidate must have both excellent written and verbal communication skills to ensure that no mistakes are made in calculating the company’s financial dealings. Candidate must be highly motivated and detail-oriented, as well as efficient and hardworking to keep up with various financial deadlines. They must have the adequate computer skills to use company preferred accounting software and methods. Experience with OSI, WideOrbit and GP is preferred. The ability to work together with other members of the team locally and remotely is critical. This position can be located remotely or at any of the Allen Media Broadcasting Stations.

Terms of Employment:
This is a full-time position during regular business hours with possible required overtime during critical projects. Pay is DOE.
