May 18^th                     (Primary)                    LUR/LUC begins April 3^rd (45 days)

September 21^st        (Local/City/County)  LUR/LUC begins July 23^rd (60 days)

November 2^nd          (General Election)   LUR/LUC begins September 3^rd (60 days)

When determining the date of an election it is:

• 2^nd Tuesday in March
• 3^rd Tuesday in May
• 3^rd Tuesday in September
• 1^st Tuesday following the 1^st Monday in November.

Lowest Unit Rate/Lowest Unit Charge (LUR/LUC) will begin 45 days (not counting the day of the election) prior to a Primary Election, and 60 days (not counting the day of the election) prior to a General Election.

Stations do not have to air political ads on the day of the election if they decide not to, however if they do air political ads on the day of the election the LUR/LUC must be honored.
