Digital News Producer - Part Time

KGW, a Belo Corp. subsidiary, has an immediate opening for an individual to work as a Digital

News Producer. The successful candidate will possess excellent news writing skills, solid

reporting ability, strong news judgment, basic understanding of HTML and Photoshop or

equivalent, good people skills and the ability to thrive as a member of small, dynamic team.

Applicant must have an understanding and ability to report on social media.

The candidate should be able to juggle numerous daily tasks and must be able to create high quality news stories under strict daily deadlines; print and web knowledge is preferred. A

college degree in journalism or related field and computer skills are required. Knowledge of the

Pacific Northwest would be valuable. Drive and ambition to win in a competitive environment is

essential. Shifts may vary and may include weekends. Prior news and web experience is

required. Video editing and Adobe Photoshop skills are preferred.
